Happy Long weekend week! Who doesn’t love a long weekend? Why not plan to restore and rejuvenate?

And here’s a little newsflash: no one’s coming to rescue you. You’ve gotta do it for yourself. It’s through your daily habits that you change your life.

If you’re looking for ideas, I’ve got you.

3 Things to Plan this Upcoming Long Weekend:

1. Watch a Sunset

n

Sunsets are healing.

Research shows that sunsets have psychological and physical benefits and have been proven to relieve stress.

Watching the sun pass over the horizon known as sungazing- can help you feel better. Sungazing stimulates the pineal gland as the direct sunlight hits the eye. This boosts the secretion of melatonin and serotonin, our “feel-good” hormones.

I know that back to school is soon upon us for some, and already here for others. But summer is still here now for ALL.

Take the time to watch a sunset.
Grab a warm cup of detox tea.
Take deep breaths.
Be quiet.
Allow the healing of the sun to wash over your body.

Enjoy the magic of the summer while it’s still here.

Experience as many healing sunsets as your day will allow.

2. Go to a Body of Water

Watch this video.

There are healing powers of being near water, and neuroscientists say that water’s most healing properties is its sound.

Can you make plans to head toward a lake or beach this weekend?

3. Declutter

n

Much like our closets and drawers get cluttered and disorganized over time, so do our minds. Our cluttered spaces are often a representation of our cluttered minds.

If you want to feel good (according to the research), unclutter your space. I promise – it’s the greatest feeling to CLEAN UP! This isn’t an order to work all labor day weekend, this is an offer to pick your messiest space and make it tidy. You will love the results.

And then move on from there the next week, or the week after.

Sending you love for a great week and an even greater long weekend!

What are your plans?
