Stop trying to fit into the box you THINK you are supposed to fit into.

You are meant to be different.

You’re meant to show the world how different is done, and done well.

I get tired of hearing that life coaches or yoga teachers (or other professionals) should behave in a certain way. “How can you be a real yoga teacher if you’re not vegan?”

I drink wine, I eat red meat, I drop f bombs, I crack dirty jokes, I make mistakes, I lose my mojo, I have shared my weaknesses and vulnerabilities openly for the past 13 years each week of my life on a blog.

Doesn’t mean I am any less qualified or capable to do the job.

Same goes for you too, my friend.

When you embrace your uniqueness or weirdness, paired with DOING THE DAMN WORK, your offering to the world becomes even more powerful.

Stop trying to fit yourself into someone else’s box or definition of X – of lawyer, or of mother. Trying to always fit in can be really damaging to your self-esteem and well-being.

Hey, I mean, my favorite pastime at 12 was snapping pictures of my friends jumping as high as they can and then snapping the perfect mid flight photo!

This week, I’d love you to write a list of your strengths. Brain dump them all- loyal, trustworthy, creative, strong communication skills, and then see how you can begin to play into your strengths (ex: I have strong leadership skills, I will take more initiative to lead at work).

You were meant to go out of your comfort zone. Baby steps lead to more joy, more fun, more curiosity, more wonder, and greater feelings of purpose.

TELL ME ONE THING YOU COULD GET UP AND TALK ABOUT FOR 15 MINUTES WITHOUT ANY NOTES! SAY IT BELOW!??
