Last week, I was thrilled to announce that I partnered with Motrin on their latest #MakeItHappenMonday Campaign, and that it is our mission to transform every woman’s “I wish” into “I will.


Challenges have the power to lead to new growth that we never expected. I am on a mission to inspire women to step outside of their comfort zones and try something new– and I believe Monday is the perfect day to do just that. This is where you declare to yourself and the world, how YOU are going to make it happen for yourself. To declare intent and set the tone for the rest of the week. To lean into any challenge and Make it Happen every Monday.

I shared with you a little bit about my journey into meditation, and how after seeing a video by Jerry Seinfeld, I was totally inspired to up my meditation game and dive into Transcendental Meditation, or TM. Jerry really sold me.

So to let you know how I’ve been doing, if I am to be honest, it’s been interesting… and maybe a tad bit frustrating. I am no yogi, I am merely a modern woman (and life coach), who does what feels right for her mind, body and spirit in order to thrive. And for the past almost four years, that has included meditation almost daily.

But when I dug deeper into TM meditation, I learned that I needed my own personal mantra, and that I would be repeating my mantra silently to myself during meditation. “Mantras provide a point of focus. By having a word or phrase that we can center our attention on we are able to free ourselves from the constant internal chatter that is going on in our mind.” This differs than my usual guided meditation to beautiful music, that I so enjoy.

I was given a reputable website to find my own personal mantra, as I learned that getting your own mantra can be quite costly. I discovered my mantra was KIRING.

I have been meditating last and this week using my mantra, and it has felt quite uncomfortable… up until yesterday, that is! I have slowly gotten past the uncomfort of repeating a word in my mind, which at first, I didn’t feel any connection to.

I will continue to meditate using my mantra and see if I notice a difference in my overall wellness. I missed my guided meditation tapes this week, and I don’t know if I will revert back to my old meditating ways.
