21 Ways To Spring Clean Your Mind, Body and Life

Whenever March rolls around (my husband’s birthday), and then into April (my birthday this weekend), I always know it’s time for me to take stock of my life. It’s the time I start sweeping out the cobwebs; literally and figuratively. Winter’s snow melts away, and all the things you have been ignoring in your life, start to present themselves again. Aaah, I forgot about you! Spring is a great time to deal with these things head-on.  And that’s not a bad thing– spring is about rebirth, renewal, regeneration.

If you’re like most of the population who have been walking around not living at your optimum, there’s no better time than now, springtime, to internally and externally cleanse and rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit. With the fast-paced society we live in, we even eat fast too – fast food, canned foods, processed foods. Why? It’s easy and quick. Why buy fresh corn on the cob and waste time boiling it, when you can just pop open a can of corn and serve it no time? Right? Wrong! And I will tell you, that although you may not see immediate results in treating your mind and body well, the long term results are astounding.

What dust-balls are lurking in the corner in your life?? Time to clean up, ladies!

How To Embrace Aging and Make Peace With It

Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.
— Mark Twain

If there’s one thing that no one in this world is exempt from, no matter how rich, how poor, how thin, how heavy, how nice, how evil, how generous, how WHATEVER… it’s AGING. Yes, we are all aging. And we are all fighting it at the exact same rate as the next person. Some will age better, some will age worse, but it’s a process we all must face whether we like it or not.

It’s a topic of conversation with women I meet and coach a lot lately.  Who is having work, who isn’t, how to age happily. And yesterday on Global TV, I discussed it. If you have or haven’t received a little help or needles from Dr. 90210, you still can try any or all of these 4 tips to make peace and help with the aging process.

Motivation Monday Announcements!

Happy Motivation Monday! Also, Happy World Kindness Day!

I am coming off an empowering weekend doing my next level YogaFit teacher certification.

A highlight from Saturday: learning how to replace negative thoughts, emotions and judgements in our OWN lives with positive ones so we can radiate it outwards to our yoga students when they get on their mats in class and then into the world.

A highlight from Sunday: learning the art of surrendering to the universe and having faith that what is meant for us will happen at the right moment (ishwara pranidhana), making the best out of our situation and accepting what is and the concept of being present and in the moment (santosha), the willingness to be disciplined and committed (tapas), letting go of expectation and competition (stay and astray).

It’s time to work smarter not harder, end procrastination and own your day… every day!
