Happy Monday – maybe a day you don’t particularly enjoy, and maybe a day you love to rock!
Today, I’m going to help you make quick decisions about your to-do list so that it doesn’t frazzle you, and so that you can become the boss of your day instead of the other way around.
Today’s time management hacks and tips are best practiced on Sunday to get you ready for the week, but you can most certainly perform them this morning.
Take 20 minutes today to glance at what’s coming up this week. It’s the ultimate act of self-care.
Is your to-do list overwhelming you?
Try the 4 D’s of Time Managment:
- Delete. Inbox of junk emails, meetings that don’t move you forward in your life, declutter, delete it- all to make room for more important tasks.
- Delegate. Can you reassign it to someone personally or professionally? Remember, chances are, it won’t be as perfect as you do it, but you are okay letting go of perfection for DONE. Oh yes you are! Delegating is big.
- Defer. If it ain’t pressing or urgent or time-sensitive, can you postpone it or defer it to a later date? Try and do what’s most pressing NOW – which leads us to our 4th D…
- Do. No clearer D than JUST DO IT. Get it done. Time block it this week on your calendar. Shut off notifications and work when your body is most alert. Unitask those puppies!
