Hello, my friend.
We already know February is the new January, duh, so let’s think of February as a reset, shall we? January was just a practice month, lol!!
In honor of our reset, wink wink, I wanted to share my “Ins and Outs,” a list of 5 things I am calling in, and 5 things I am kicking out in 2024.
And then I’d love you to share yours below.
IN:
1. Self-care rituals for mental well-being – this is the YEAR of self-care! The numbers 2024 symbolize it! I’m all in.
2. Pursuing passions and embracing creativity – hobbies, creative events. I’m tapping into it all!
3. Healthy and nourishing relationships – I love making new friends and am enjoying bringing new people into my life who enrich it! Never too late or too old to make new incredible friends!
4. Continuous learning and personal growth – courses, webinars, in-person events, conferences, books, I am committed to be being the eternal student (even though I am also the teacher)
5. Mindfulness and gratitude practices – more white space in my days, more pausing, more down time, more appreciating the little things, more gratitude.
OUT:
1. Procrastination and time-wasting habits – I’m not really a procrastinator, but I want to get even more intentional with my calendar this year. Oh, and social media can be a big time suck, so I want to use it even more intentionally. I do loooove social media though and connecting with you, so I will continue to talk to you.
2. Negative self-talk and limiting beliefs – more grace, more love and compassion for me. If I make a mistake, I’m not staying stuck.
3. Toxic relationships that drain energy – bye bye fake friends or people that I don’t have a connection with. I ain’t forcing it. If you drain my energy and strength, I’m letting you go.
4. Fear of failure and taking risks – we all fuck up. When I fail, I will be mindful to FAIL FORWARD. Failure is part of the human condition. So therefore, less fear in trying. This is my year of going all in on what I want, and trimming the fat off of what I don’t.
5. Clutter, both physical and mental, creating space for simplicity – I will continue to build my sanctuary around me. Throwing out or giving away what I haven’t touched in a year to make more space for calm and serenity.

Hello Erica,
Love your list, reading it sounded exactly like what my list would look like, and that is a good thing!
Surrounding ourselves with good people and taking care of the things in life we have worked hard to achieve. My friends always say to me, you are smart, you have accomplished a lot in your life, you have a lovely home etc…and I’m thinking…who me? I will start to believe what my friends tell me, I have a big problem accepting compliments. I always think I fall short of accomplishing or it’s not good enough etc. the negative self talk needs to stop and more time to practice gratitude will help.
Thanks Erica,
Carolyn
