Thank you mom for sending this. I loved it, and had to share.
During an early morning response to a house fire in Santa Rose de Temuco, Chile , firefighters witnessed the unbelievable. A mother dog risked her life to save her puppies from the fire surrounding the burning house, which started because of a car bomb.
The mother dog, Amanda, raced back and forth between the house, putting her 10 day old puppies in the safest place she could find – a firetruck!
She didn’t stop racing back into the fire until all of her puppies were safely away from the fire. The firemen on scene could not believe their eyes. Most people have never seen a dog this smart or this brave.
After rescuing all of her pups from the blaze, Amanda sat down next to them, protecting them with her body. Onlookers called an emergency veterinary service and she and her pups were rushed to the hospital. Aside from one puppy being treated for serious burns, the entire family are alive and well – thanks to the bravery of Amanda! What a heroic mother!
The moral of the story: The love of a mother knows no bounds- no age, race, religion, and obviously SPECIES.
What a mother won’t sacrifice for her loved ones.
What have YOU sacrificed for your children?

This brought tears to my eyes. Amazing.
Good question Erica. Something that may open up a great discussion about what is a sacrifice. Someone told me last week that she could not understand how I could spend so many yours in the arenas watching my boys play hockey. To her, it was a sacrifice. I told her that there was no word to describe the joy of watching my boys evoluate in something they like and that the smiles I get after a game is just priceless. I don’t know if what I do for them is a sacrifice. For some it is but for me, it is sharing good times with my kids.
Cathy, I can honestly say I sacrificed my first company that I started at 24, for my kids. No over-exxageration. But I wouldn’t have done it any other way, and it was the best decision I could have made. It was grow the business and be an absent mother, or find another career. And I did, and it’s been an incredible journey. But I really did throw the towel in on something great for those two little gentlemen.
No regrets for the sacrifice.
Erica,
I see your point as I have also sacrificed a few things to be more present for my kids, but at the end, when we look at the result, is it realy a sacrifice or more a choice…….and a good one if you ask me:)
OMG, that is one amazing mama! I’m not surprised at all.
I love this story. Thanks for posting.
Irene
What fire? I don’t see any evidence of a fire.
All I see is a mother dog removing puppies from a truck.
