One more thing that’s been weighing heavily on my mind lately. And I don’t mean to add fuel to the fire today.
But, I feel there is a true need to be sensitive and mindful to people’s lives right now. Every person’s situation is different at the moment.
I have heard some people say, “I can’t wait to travel the minute the travel ban is lifted! Get me outta here!” I’ve also listened to, “With my current situation, I don’t know how I will be able to feed my kids in 3 weeks.”
Every person and every family is experiencing something drastically different. COVID has not treated each family equally. And I think we need to be mindful of that.
It is a very, VERY challenging time for most people in the world. Survival is really where it’s at for most. Therefore, I think we need to really think before we speak… or text.
It’s a wake-up call to tone-deafness.
And those are my two cents which you can definitely disagree with. We live in a country with freedom of speech, so that’s great.
I couldn’t agree more! This is so true, while many privileged people are ranting about the ‘new normal’ on how it is changing their lives, many are the unfortunate people who are hanging in the cliff because of poverty. People should stop this attitude of being so uncontented and greedy when there are many unfortunate people who are barely making their days. We should stop nagging and being privileged and start helping those who are in need especially at this time amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.!
