Girls, I am taking my annual July (sometimes into August) blogging slowdown. I do this every year for my mental wellbeing, and for the quality of this blog. It is my gift to myself. It is not easy to continuously keep things fresh, relevant and interesting, so every July, I relax my blogging brain, check in less frequently in order to come back recharged, refreshed, and ready to give you more.

This week’s Global TV lifestyle segment was on a topic very near and dear to my heart – MENTORING. I’ve been fortunate to have been on both sides of the coin in my life — I have been both a protege, as well as a mentor since the age of 25. I can tell you from experience, it is one of the most rewarding relationships out there.

You’re trying to grow your personal or corporate brand and you know you need to hop on board the social media bus pronto, but you don’t know where to begin! You’re on the fence! You’re afraid to tweet “the wrong way,” or you don’t know on which social media platforms you belong. You just know you want to increase that social media following, increase your exposure, influence, and of course, your bottom line.

After all, the larger and more captive your audience is, the better your chances are of selling your product or service (even if you haven’t created it yet!)
