For #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek and #TipTuesday, I’m sharing a tip a day on how to improve our overall mental health and wellness.
Teaser: Yoga is coming this Friday. Our 60-minute vitality flow will be posted on my my Instagram this Friday at 9:30am.
We know that eating crappy food makes us feel crappy. Well, first it makes us feel happy, then crappy. There are foods which can have a positive impact on your mood! Studies have connected low mood with lower levels of folic acid. Consider eating ‘food for your mood!’
Vitamin B12 and folic acid have been proven to help. Healthy foods with folate (folic acid): broccoli, spinach, lettuce, green peas, beans, lentils, WATERMELON AND BANANAS (MY SMOOTHIE PICTURED ABOVE THIS MORNING), oranges, lemons, whole grain starches.
It’s easy to grab junky food while we’re home by the fridge all day— consider choosing healthier options to help with overall mood. Another option? Just don’t buy crap during COVID times. We need our immunity now more than ever. If there’s no crap available in your fridge or pantry, you’ll have no choice but to choose healthier options.
Sending you healthy hugs,
