A few nice things to share today. Kind of like a WordY Wednesday… I have been coaching, mentoring and consulting since the age of 24. That’s quite a while. But I decided…
Talk about ON THE FENCE. That was the theme in all the social media channels last night during the Golden Globes- “I’m on the fence about whether Jodie Foster’s acceptance speech was epic and brilliant, or a complete nonsensical mess.”
2013 is your year. It’s your year because you’re going to get off that damn fence, and MAKE it your year. No excuses.
If you’ve been perched on the fence getting splinters, unable to make a decision, paralyzed and afraid to take the jump toward your happiness, I am coming for you. I’m coming for you with the frying pan! Today, you’re getting your mojo on. Today, you’re making plans.
And we’re getting right to it.
I received this from my girlfriend, and I wanted to share it.
Here are some very true words to ponder on aging. I hope you enjoy…
Hello, I’m back! Back in the groove. Kids are at school. I’m at my computer. Happy 2013 my beautiful ladies!
For the first time in over three years, I did not check in once while on my blogging hiatus. I felt guilty for not connecting with you these past two weeks, but I really wanted to decompress, rest my head, spend time with my family, and be fresh for 2013. I feel ready.
Well not really.
Well my lovely ladies, it’s that time of year again- christmas, holiday season, Nat King Cole and reindeers. It’s also the time where I close up the blogging shop for two weeks. Yup, I do. I rest my kepi (that’s Hebrew for head), and come back rejuiced with fresh content in January.
I am finally able to reveal some exciting news– I am the new brand ambassador for Le Chateau. It has been a long story in the making…
I remember shopping at Le Chateau when I was 16 years old – the Sweet Sixteen days. How my mother let me out of the house in crushed velvet bustiers and “hot pants” (remember the short shorts that barely covered your ….), I’ll never know. I guess it was what we wore back then! Then I stopped shopping there for many years, thinking that I was too old, or that the quality wasn’t up to par. Thinking that the clothes were for young girls, and not for a mother or businesswoman.
I will not post any pictures, videos, or clips of today’s elementary school shooting- the biggest tragedy and devastation this world has seen in decades. My heart bleeds for the families, and I am crying as I hold my children extra tight right now.
I want only to quote Michael Moore, and then I’ll be done.
“The way to honor these dead children is to demand strict gun control, free mental health care, and an end to violence as public policy.” – Michael Moore
