Today’s post is for those who are able to use a little bit of time to strategize for the future. If you are functioning daily on survival mode (as most of the population is), you can absolutely sit this one out. No pressure. ?
?
I am thankful that my coaching practice is busy these COVID-19 days with people who need wellness strategies and who want to plan for the future after the fog is lifted. ?
?
These are the first two questions I ask every new client. It gives me an idea of where you want to be, and what is standing in the way of you getting there. ?

Got 10 minutes?
Looking to improve mood, increase your energy, reduce stress, breathe easier, and maybe smile a little more?
You asked for something quick to feel better. Here is your quickie. Do it slow. 😉
And again, Harvard medical school is recommending yoga to deal with COVID-19 anxiety. Happy practicing. Stay well. Self-care is pertinent.
Good Day. I want to first start off by saying that I hope you are staying safe and well. These times are extremely challenging.
I have been reading some great articles lately (hey, we’ve got nothing but time). I am also taking an online Yale course too – you know, the ‘nothing but time,’ blessing, right? But back to the articles I have been reading. They speak to point that if you don’t take this COVID-19 time to:
Learn a new language
Marie Kondo your space
Work on your side hustle
Learn how to meditate
Create a new craft
Grow a vegetable garden
then you’re not using your time wisely.
I call bullshit (and I’m in the space of self-improvement and wellness).
Never have so many of us spent so much time at home. It’s a time for innovation, and it’s a time for memories of the world we inhabited half-a-lifetime ago… or is it just a few weeks?!? That’s what Wendy Reichental writes about from her home in Montreal.
My husband and I are holed up now in our apartment, our own little world. The last time we spent this much time together was this past December while we were vacationing in Florida. It was to be our first three-week vacation. We were also celebrating the fact that I had made the decision to take early retirement. We were toasting to new beginnings and how 2020 would be a memorable year. Little did we know! Was that an innocent aspiration or an ominous premonition?
If you missed Monday morning’s LIVE vitality flow yoga class, here is the 30-minute class which is a nice morning practice designed to strengthen your body and calm your mind. It is the perfect COVID-19 wellness booster.
This practice is a little more dynamic, but I still provide options to either intensify or modify the poses for your level. You will need a yoga mat (or beach towel), and if you have a set of yoga blocks, you can use them, otherwise no blocks are required.
urning 45 in quarantine has given me lots of time for introspection.
So here goes! In honor of turning 35 45 (ahem), what I’ve learned in quarantine and beyond:
Beauty, money, power– things we often place high value upon in society are worthless without your health. Haven’t we all learned this?
I’ve learned I can grieve and be grateful at the same time. And wow, how interesting and odd that is.
I’ve learned that when things feel out of control, to focus on what you CAN control. It’s empowering when you can switch the inner-dialogue from victim to driver of the bus.
There’s a lot out of our control right now.
A LOT.
There’s a lot we don’t have any say in, or ability to change. This can be stressful. It can be anxiety-provoking. I hear you. I definitely FEEL you.
But the key to managing this difficult period, is to focus on what you CAN control:
Getting bored at home?
Looking for some new activities to do with your family during this #stayhome period? This morning on Global News, I shared some ideas!
Stay safe everyone. Stay home so we can go out. Sending you all love.
