Are You Stuck In A Rut?

If you’ve been perched on the fence getting splinters, unable to make a decision, paralyzed and afraid to take the jump toward your happiness, I am coming for you. Fall symbolizes the shedding and ridding ourselves of the old, and beginning of the new cycle. Fall is a perfect time to make plans.

Here are 5 Steps To Get Off The Fence and Get Unstuck this fall. It’s time to make a plan to get out of a rut and thriving:

Brain Dump

Hello, it’s been a week since I’ve been here. HOW YOU DOIN’?

Judging by the many I’ve been following on social media, not so good.

Last week, I promised to share what I’ve been up to. But first, I need to get the election off my chest. Therefore, to catch you up, today will be one big BRAIN DUMP.

My feelings in my social media updates this morning:

This is what Americans wanted – CHANGE. We now have to get over the shock, accept this new reality and pray that this guy can assemble a good entourage. Praying for a great America.

Wisdom Wednesday: Are You A Blamer?

Hola, Happy Hump Day, AKA Wisdom Wednesday.

I have lots to tell you, but I will preserve my strength and share all next week. Come back next week, please. 😉
But today, I have a question for you, and I’d like you to think long and hard about it, and answer yourself honestly.

ARE YOU A BLAMER?

Porn and Our Generation

The weeks following my knee reconstruction surgery were littered with sleepless nights. I was practically immobile; a leg brace appropriate for a 6-foot man restricted my every move. My mom set me up in the main-floor bedroom of our summer lake house. Though the mattress and bedding were plush, sleep wasn’t an easy feat. I was frustrated, emotionally and physically. I wanted to be wake boarding and training for collegiate soccer preseason and playing beach volleyball and running from the cops at parties with my friends–not swimming laps in a geriatric jog belt while my leg flopped around.

New Study: Anxiety Hits Women Hardest and 3 Quick Ways I Hit Back Harder and Won

Anxiety has a favorite host: females who live in North America. Are you surprised? I’m not. According to a new study published in Brain and Behavior magazine, scientists compared nearly 50 notable scientific papers on anxiety from around the world. Females and people in areas of high population showed time and again to produce higher rate of reported anxiety.

The Closing of Suicide Prevention Month: A Story

This is my brother, Dan’s story. Please read. Please share. Let’s keep the conversation regarding suicide and mental illness going, or at least, let’s try to get it started. Thank you.

———-

On July 24th, 2015, I lost my little brother, Dan – my only brother, and also, my best friend – to suicide (by way of depression). Given that more than a year has passed, and that September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, the time now feels right for me to share his story.

Dan and I grew up in a very loving, nurturing, and supportive family. I never thought that suicide could ever happen in my family, but then again, who does??? But I have learned that suicide knows no boundaries, and if it can happen in my family, right under my nose, and unbeknownst to me, then surely, it could happen in any family.

6 Fall Fashion Trends

Hate to break the news, but it’s officially Sweata Weatha (according to the girls of Saturday Night Live). 😉 Check out some of my favorite fall looks from LE CHÂTEAU Now, whether you’re…

Turning 13… A Rite Of Passage

The day was September 22nd, 2003. I was selfish. A workaholic. 9 months pregnant. And didn’t know just how my life would change the next day, at 5:40am on a Tuesday, September 23rd.

When I heard the first cry, it literally took my breath away. I was instantly hooked. I hovered over his crib in the hospital. I watched him breathe. I watched his little round face for hours. It was a love only a mother could comprehend.

So to my first born child, my son, who turns 13 today, I have prepared some pictures for you to enjoy. Watching you grow over the past 13 years, has literally, just as the moment you came into the world, taken my breath away.

Enjoy your trip down memory lane…
