Today, on Valentine’s Day, our theme is self-love.
As a certified life coach, yoga and meditation teacher, it is my job to remind you to care for yourself, today… and everyday.
But where do you start?
Self-care means starting to pay attention to:? ?
1. WHAT YOU THINK: What are the conversations you have with yourself? Is your self-talk negative or self-loving and gentle? Do you practice mindfulness to bring your mind to the present moment and a state of calm? What are the thoughts that occupy your mind on a regular basis?
2. WHAT YOU DO: What are your daily routines and habits? Do you make time for reading, journaling, creating a work schedule, planning ahead, unplugging, saving money, making time for friends, making time to move your body. What you DO day in and day out is the greatest indicator of self-love and self-care.
3. WHAT YOU EAT: The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison. Cheating and cheat days are what makes life wonderful and yummy, but not if done in excess. Be mindful of your nutrition as a form of self-compassion and care.
When you care for yourself, the world opens up for you.
In love and self-care today and always,
