We’re kinda “off the fence” today, ladies. This story was just too wacky not to share. And these things always seem to happen to me.
So grab a coffee… This one’s gonna be a longie.

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Guy Kawasaki, world-famous entrepreneur and author, who I have followed for some time, and admire. Why Guy Kawasaki on Women On The Fence you may ask? Because he has been a huge supporter of businesswomen and mompreneurs for years, and he has insight for us all.
In his new book, Guy discusses a concept that we can adopt in our everyday lives to be more successful… at home, at work, with our partners. That concept is… enchantment. Because the goal of this blog is to always push you off the fence and self improve, here is a concept which you may enjoy.
Erica Diamond has found success and balance in her blog, Women on the Fence. With 2 million syndicated readers a month, she has found a way to inspire and uplift women all around the world.
“I envisioned a hub where bright, smart women could get inspired, be entertained and get a daily dose of hope, inspiration, laughter and learn something new in their life. I started writing and it took off right away.” — Erica Diamond
“Every year, we at Women’s Post compile our list of the Top 20 Women of the Year. Some of these women are well-known while some operate under the radar. I was shocked and thrilled to see this posted on Twitter last night. Suzy Welch, author and wife of Jack Welch, famous businessman and former Chairman & CEO of General Electric, posted this about my new book, 99 Things Women Wish They Knew Before Starting Their Own Business.
And for those that asked, no, I never sent her a copy of my book. She bought it off Amazon herself and then surprised me last night.
So it’s 2011. Maybe your kids are all in school now, and maybe you’ve decided that this is the year you’re going to get creative – in every sense of the word. Maybe you’ve decided that you’re going to get off the fence and contribute to society. That’s you’re going to contribute to your household income. That’s you’re going to leave your high stress job in search of flexibility and balance. Maybe you need to work for financial reasons, maybe you don’t. But one thing is for certain… MomPreneurship is big business.
I’m ready for a successful 2011. I love new beginnings. Tabula Rasa – a clean slate to start over and make it right.
“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending” ~Maria Robinson
2010 was an interesting year. And although I am on vacation, I couldn’t end off 2010 without a recap of a few life lessons learned, memories shared, milestones celebrated, and tough times endured. 2010 was without a doubt, the most interesting year of my life. This was my year ‘off the fence.’ Euphoric at times, to be honest. To have received a second chance to build something from nothing, was a truly a dream come true. That’s what 2010 was for me… something from nothing.
Starting every Wednesday 1:00 -1:30PM, in the New Year, I will be the weekly business start-up correspondent for The Kim Fraser Show, on CJAD Talk Radio, AM 800, or CJAD.com. The show has 150,000 daily listeners, and you will now be able to CALL ME with all your business startup questions. So many of you MomPreneurs, businesswomen, small business owners and others have asked me how we can connect. So now, I am thrilled to be accessible to you on the air… LIVE. And it’s not just for women. IT’S ALL START-UP and that includes MEN too!
