#GetOffTheFence Challenge Day 5

Day 5 – Write down 3 action plans that you will execute each consecutive week starting January 1st, 2018

These action plans will propel you forward in the goal you selected on Day 2 of our challenge. They will roll out one at a time starting January 1st and will carry you through the first 3 weeks of January. Example, if your goal is to find a new job in the new year, Week 1 action plan: Fix up your CV. Week 2: Research 10 new potential employers. Week 3: Reach out to 5 new potential employers to solidify interviews. You catch the idea.

That’s today’s challenge. It’s a big one.

Day 4: Do one thing out of your comfort zone today

Day 4 – You’re still digesting the 3 blocked areas from yesterday, so while that’s marinading, today is the ‘out of your comfort zone’ challenge day!

Your homework is simple yet challenging: Do one thing out of your comfort zone today. It can be something as simple as going to a yoga class this afternoon if you’ve never done yoga, to something bigger. Something perhaps you’ve wanted to do, but have been putting off. In the words of NIKE, Just Do It. I encourage you to Google activities out of your comfort zone if you can’t think of any. Going out of our comfort zone challenges and awakens you in more ways than you can imagine.

That’s today’s challenge. It’s a FUN one!

#GetOffTheFence Challenge Day 3

Day 3 – You’ve narrowed things down to ONE goal to focus on for the New Year. Today, write down 3 things blocking you from attaining your goal. Expand as much as possible. Doing this will help bring the situation to life- and actually, perhaps, you might realize you are not as stuck as you think. When you write about the blocks, that begins the unblocking process.

Examine belief systems holding you back from achieving your goal. Things like “I’m not good enough. Unlovable. Not deserving…”

When we awaken ourselves to what is blocking our path, we begin to build a roadmap through.

Erica Diamond Launches ’30/30 Corporate Work-Life Wellness’ Power Lunch Workshop

This has been a long time coming.

It’s no secret that I give keynotes and talks on work-life balance at conferences and companies. It’s also no secret that I’ve been a yoga student over fifteen years and now a certified teacher. So marrying both my passions for offices both in Montreal and other cities is everything I know and love. I cannot wait to work with employees to achieve wellness through optimally balancing career and personal life.

I thought, “What a great way to spend lunch: a 30 minute power talk and a 30 minute stress-busting yoga class.” So I created it.

The Accidental Rebrand

I am excited to reveal today… the new, improved and rebranded WomenOnTheFence.com, Real Inspiration for the Modern Woman.

You see, we weren’t planning or rebranding or facelifting any time soon. But our site went down two weeks ago, and when the backup reinstalled was totally corrupt, we had no choice but to start from scratch.

I panicked.

It was touch and go for five long days. Did we actually lose eight years of blog posts, comments, pages, blood, sweat and tears?

I am still feeling very fortunate that both my worlds of life coaching and yoga collided this past Friday on The Today Show with Megan Kelly. My mandate? To teach Megan, her audience, and America, yoga poses specifically for stress management and a more zen you. Taught from the place of a modern yoga teacher AND life coach showing you different poses you can flow through and breathe through to a calmer you… I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Megan and her team were delightful, and our audience was totally game when I challenged them to TREE POSE!

Happy Canada Day, Happy 4th of July and a July Blogging Slowdown

We all have a special weekend ahead. I am celebrating my beloved country Canada’s 150th birthday, and you, my American friends, are celebrating your independence. We take a day off, we rest, we regroup, we reflect, we spend time with family and friends, and hey, it’s SUMMER!

I sent my boys off on the bus this week to summer camp. And judging by this picture, I think someone is happy. And lucky.

On this week’s Global TV segment, I shared eight great summer reads. In the fall, I had included something for every woman: fiction, non-fiction, laugh-out-loud funny, witty, heartwarming, and a heart-pounding thriller. For the summer though, I like to keep it a little lighter. We don’t have to be serious ALL THE TIME. 😉 Sometimes it’s okay for Calgon to take us away.
